Forged between the boundaries of Ravenswood, Foster, Devon, and Lake Michigan, Edgewater is a tight knit community in northern Chicago with an abundance of charm. The Edgewater Historical Society is a quaint gallery and community center that serves homage to its beloved locale. While it can seem more like a gift shop than a museum, EHS’s has a cool collection of objects from the historic Edgewater Beach Hotel, which closed in 1967 and was demolished shortly thereafter. The museum is only open on the weekends, so stop by after a leisurely Andersonville bottomless brunch.
